Supporting Global Conservation: Tigers for Tomorrow and Geoffroy's Cat Initiatives

At Tigers for Tomorrow, conservation is more than a mission—it’s a commitment that spans local and global efforts. As part of this dedication, we have proudly worked with the Feline Conservation Foundation (FCF) and supported initiatives for the preservation of the Geoffroy's cat, a small wild feline native to South America.

Our Collaboration with the Geoffroy's Cat Working Group (GCWG)

Through partnerships with organizations like the FCF and GCWG, Tigers for Tomorrow has contributed to vital projects that protect Geoffroy’s cats in the wild. The GCWG focuses on habitat preservation, road safety initiatives, and education to raise awareness about these elusive felines.

One of our highlights includes raising funds during special events, such as the Geoffroy's Cat Conservation Paint Party, where a portion of proceeds went directly to the GCWG to aid conservation efforts. These efforts align perfectly with Tigers for Tomorrow’s mission to advocate for wildlife and preserve biodiversity.

Leadership in Conservation

Susan Steffens, the founder of Tigers for Tomorrow, actively serves as Vice Chair of the FCF’s Board of Directors. Her leadership ensures that Tigers for Tomorrow continues to engage with and support broader conservation efforts, including the FCF’s Geoffroy’s Cat Project.

The FCF has made remarkable strides in protecting Geoffroy’s cats, such as funding road signage projects to prevent vehicle strikes and supporting critical research through camera traps. These initiatives demonstrate the importance of collective action in wildlife conservation.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, Tigers for Tomorrow remains committed to supporting organizations like the FCF and GCWG. If you’d like to contribute to these vital conservation efforts, be sure to check out this Geoffroy’s Cat clothing fundraiser on Bonfire and get involved before Geoffroy’s Cat Day on January 28th.

Let’s come together to honor and support this remarkable species, ensuring their survival in the wild for generations to come.

WILDLIFE Asia

Support Tiger Recovery

Tiger recovery in Karen State is part of a critical program to secure the remaining tiger population that remains in Karen State. With substantial habitat and a secure prey base still harboured in this region there is an opportunity for significant growth of the tiger population, greatly enhancing tiger conservation efforts across this region.

Second Chance Shelter

And of course Who doesn't love Dogs! Our favorite local no Kill Shelter. This husband and wife team does a great job of caring for and rehoming over 200 canines.
Second Chance Shelter is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, no-kill dog shelter and we obtain most of our dogs the day they are to be euthanized. We save their life and provide them with a temporary home until we find a forever home for them. We are currently at our maximum capacity and are unable to help more dogs until we find homes for the ones we have now. At Second Chance, we believe every dog has a story and every story deserves a happy ending!
